Day 1: Marrakech:
In the airport you will be expected by your driver, who drives you to the Riad in the medina. Depending on the arrival time it is possible to make the first Marrakech guided tour.
Day 2: Marrakech Guided Tour:
After Breakfast. Departure to visit the city , the so-called “pearl of the South”. This visit begins in the grandiose Jardines de la Menara , where it is said that the warriors who later crossed the Strait of Gibraltar learned to swim to invade the Iberian Peninsula. Afterwards, an exterior view of the minaret of the Koutoubia , twin sister of the Giralda in Seville, is made . Once inside the semi-ancient part of the city, a visit to the Bahia Palace takes place, where you can admire the distribution of an old palace of a wealthy person from Marrakech. Return to the hotel. Already in the afternoon, there will be a walking tour through the authentic old part of the city, the souks and the medina . The neighborhoods of craftsmen of wood, ceramics, furriers, etc. Return to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation. Optionally , the possibility of attending a typical Fantasia Chez Ali dinner. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Marrakech – Essaouira
After a rich breakfast, we are picked up by our driver and drive to the former Portuguese colony of Essaouira, formerly called Mogador. The charming town is located directly on the Atlantic coast. After a walk we will visit the sights of Essaouira: the harbor, the Sqala, the old town and the former Jewish quarter, the Mellah. After sightseeing you can enjoy freshly grilled Fich in an authentic restaurant right on the harbor. The afternoon is at your free disposal.
Day 4: Essaouira
This day is yours! Beside the beach and the sea, Essaouira offers a contemplative medina with traditional handicrafts. Beautiful weavings, high-quality leather goods and furniture or everyday utensils from the noble Thuya wood can be purchased here at affordable prices. But, do not forget to haggle! In Essaouira you have many opportunities to relax: lying on the sandy beach, a ride on a camel, enjoy a Hammam, or refueling at Thalasso, take a tour by ship, buy souvenirs in the medina, visit the museum and of course in authentic restaurants get to know and love regional dishes.
Day 5: Essaouira – Marrakech
If you do not want to extend your stay, your driver picks you up today and drives you back to the airport in Marrakech.
